Our Middle School Robotics Program (5th - 8th Grade) combines fun, learning, and competition, with both the Coding Class, Drone Team and Robotics Classes happening at the same time for maximum fun and interaction with friends.

Our Middle School Robotics program is built around three year-long levels, giving students a clear path from guided builds to advanced, self-designed engineering projects. In Level I (Year 1), students work with VEX and design Fusion 360 RC cars; in Level II (Year 2), they advance to Fusion 360 battle bots and drones; and in Level III (Year 3), they design and build their own creations—like Arduino cars, custom robots, drones, or advanced battle bots. Along the way, students develop real skills in engineering, coding, design, teamwork, and problem-solving while preparing for competitions and hands-on challenges. But if your child loves one of the years, they can also repeat over and over to get better and better!

Our competition-focused Drone Team trains students for REC Aerial Drone Competitions—learning to code, pilot, and strategize through real missions and head-to-head challenges while building advanced flight control, autonomous programming, and teamwork skills. After the competition season, students transition into Autodesk Fusion 360 to design their own custom drones, exploring real-world engineering and performance. Students can attend Wednesdays at 4:45 PM, Tuesdays at 6:30 PM, or both—while only paying for one class. Open to 5th grade and up

For students choosing the Coding Class, the self-paced curriculum allows them to explore Python, Java, HTML, Unity, GameMaker, or advanced Scratch based on their interests. This class focuses on building coding skills and problem-solving abilities, giving students a well-rounded tech experience.  5th graders and up sign up for one or the other but often switch between them as the year goes on! 

NEW! Middle School Van Pickup!! We’re making life easier for parents—no more driving across town during dinner time! Every Tuesday, we’ll pick up students from Kulshan (5:15pm) or Fairhaven (5:30pm) and bring them to the Club for Robotics or Coding class (please register separately). What happens before class? Pizza dinner (included in the van pick uprice) and hangout time! After class (6:30–7:45pm), we’ll return students to their respective schools—easy, fun, and hassle-free!

As always, our Wednesday middle schoolers are invited to stay after their class, order pizza and roll straight into Club Nights!
